Hampstead, London NW3

This project was for a client we first worked with in 2008. Looking to move and having searched for sometime, he found a tired, unloved property in Hampstead and we went to see it together before he made an offer to discuss whether we could create the space he wanted. It was clear that everything had to go and an ensuite created for the master bedoom, but the windows were huge and the light beautiful. The potential was clear and he went ahead and bought it.

The brief was concise.

  • An art deco inspired space, with the exception of the master bedroom and the ensuite bathroom which were to be more contemporary.

  • To compliment his stunning art work, namely a collection of Hermes framed scarves.

  • Create an ensuite for the master bedroom.

Everything else was up for discussion and we worked collaboratively on the whole project. Our involvement was effectively “turnkey”. We surveyed and prepared existing plans, designed the new ensuite and associated plumbing, electrics, kitchen, paint colours, soft furniturings, all furniture including bespoke joinery for living room and bedroom, hung all pictures etc etc.
